Q.What does John Steinbeck say is needed to write a great short story?
A. He says that the only way to write a good short story, is to write a good short story. There are only a few short stories that are published these days. You have to just write it first, then take it apart to see how it was done.
Q. Tell us about a short story you remember reading. What stands out about the story?
A. One time I read a story that my cousin had written when he was about 9. It wasnt that good, but i thought it was really creative. It was about a family of squirrels that could talk and lived in a magical forest. I think creativity is very important in making a good short story.
