PROPOGANDA+CENSORSHIP[northkorea]
There were many examples of censorship and propoganda in this video on North Korea. The Korean government have been brainwashing its people to believe that their leader Kim ll Sung was super natural, and he was leading them correctly. They control what people can read,write,say, and do. Only a few special people can talk to foreigners while the rest can’t even look them in the eye. In the library, there are few books and the librarian is told what she can say and do. Children are forced to practice gymnastics 6 hours a day in front of Kim ll Sung’s pictures to honer their leader. The reporters in the movie had 3 people following them to make sure that they dont do anything illegal. Their hotel room was bugged and they would confiscate their trash. The Propoganda workers made people believe that Kim ll sung carved a message in a tree 50 years ago, but when a japanese botanist came he said that it couldnt be possible because that tree didnt exist 50 years ago. Now that area is blocked off from all Koreans. These are just a few of the many cases of propoganda or censorship in North Korea.
