Fredrick Douglassssss

Frederick Douglass was a African-American man who was once a slave. After escaping to the North, Douglass used reading as freedom. He wanted our nation to be free from segregation and every man or women, no matter what the color of their skin, to have the same rights. Frederick had his own newspaper called “North Star” and became president of Haiti. Frederick Douglass wanted to show fellow African-Americans and women and other people from different races and cultures that, you can achieve as much as he can too. He thought if he could serve as a Marshal of the District of Colombia, then so could anyone else. Therefore, I think Frederick Douglass achieved a lot of great things and is a huge influence on people.
